Far Cry 4 > General Discussions > Topic Details. TeslaFox Dec 24, 2016 @ 7:24am. The game won't save my checkpoints. I spent an hour playing just to realize the game won't save my checkpoints. Apparently it's a known issue, but the fixes I tried won't work. Since the game is running via Uplay there is one big mess with the save files location.
